It is said that Van Gogh cut off his ear following a heated argument with fellow-artist Paul Gauguin. I’ve had many heated arguments of the years, but it’s rare that I cut off a body part as a result of one.

This brilliant mug captures that questionable action. The attractive mug has Vincent’s self-portrait prior to that argument. When you pour in hot water, his ear vanishes and is replaced with a crude bandage. It’s both arty and sick at the same time.

Supposedly, Van Gogh wrapped up his ear in paper and gave it to a woman as a special gift. We don’t suggest you do that, and would much rather you give this mug instead.
