Botan Rice Candy
This stupid candy comes to you all the way from Japan. Why is it so stupid?
Here’s why…
Each piece of Botan Rice Candy comes wrapped in TWO wrappers. The first wrapper you throw away. The second wrapper, though, is meant to be left on when you pop the candy into your mouth. It feels pretty weird, but then the wrapper dissolves in your mouth. The chewy rice candy inside is delicious and exotic. (It doesn’t taste like any candy in the U.S. market. In fact, we’re convinced that “Botan” is Japanese for “Yum!” Have you ever tasted millet jelly, sweet rice and lemon flavor all in one bite? Those are the ingredients in this unique treat.)
The candy comes in a small, colorful box, with about 6 pieces inside, each with their own edible wrapper. It’s not a lot of candy, but it sure is DIFFERENT.
Oh, and one more surprise… as a FREE BONUS, our friends from the Land of the Rising Sun have added a goofy sticker inside each box. (Some samples are on the left.)
